MuxTape, Personal Mix Tapes!

Posted in College, Life, Music by admin on the April 1st, 2008

I ran across a cool website the other day. www.muxtape.com It allows you to upload 12 of your own MP3 files of songs you like and put them in any order you choose. You end up creating your own mix tape but in a digital sense. Its has RSS built in so once you find some one you like watch their feed to see what new music they add. The site is a great way to share music with your friends and online communities. Check out the site and upload your own songs to create your own MuxTape.

Photo Update (Jessi)

Posted in College, News, Photography by admin on the February 22nd, 2008

I have been very busy and have forgot to update the blog. The Christmas lights are down and we have begun designing next years. Keep an eye out here and at www.liquidretro.net/lightshow for more info.

I have lots of photos to update the blog with but this will take a few posts to do it. Keep coming back for new ones. I will try and post more regularly.

Last week a very good friend of mine asked me to take some photos of her, I’ve always wanted someone, who I like, to be my model for the day. She asked, and I said yes. The results turned out quite beautiful, she was very happy with the photos. It was a really relaxing day, taking photos, eating Mexican food, topping it off with cheese cake, and spending time with friends.

The photos below have gotten great response on Fred Miranda and other Photography forums. Look for more photos like this in the future especially when it gets warm out.

Here are 2 galleries that contain more of the processed images.

Nebraska City Fireworks 2007

Posted in College, Life, Photography by admin on the July 4th, 2007

On Saturday Night June 30, a friend and I went to fireworks in Nebraska City. The Nebraska City fireworks show is very unique. The show is hand lit so there are pauses while the firing crew are reloading. Also the music they play is not necessarily patriotic. It is an interesting mix. I had a great time and was glad I took a friend along.

UNL Rifle Club Fun Shoot

Posted in College, Life, School, Travel, UNL by admin on the April 22nd, 2007

Yesterday I went out to Broken Bow, Nebraska to participate in the annual fun shoot. I had a very good time shooting all of the guns. I shot several guns that are normally only seen in the movies and video games. Some of them included a 50 caliber Sniper Rifle, an AL-47, A Tommy Gun, and others. Below I have posted some photos and videos of me and some friends shooting all of the guns.

Facebook users please view page on my actual web page to see the videos. www.LiquidRetro.Net/Blog

Loading of the AK-47 Golf ball gun. This was a cool gun. After a golf ball had been loaded by shoving it down the specially made aluminum tube a blank cartridge was loaded and the gun was fired. It shot the golf ball well over 100 yards.

I have also bought a new website and domain name. www.JBMPhoto.com The website is currently very basic but I am working on ideas for a site and logo. I wanted to say thanks to Jeff for all of the help with moving the website. I could not have done it with out you man. His blog is http://blog.wisch.org/

Here is a quick test of a new plug in and a photo from the the Nebraska VS Missouri football game last weekend.
